It seems to have been built in 1796 by the Nango Buddhist lecture organization in Hongo Village. At the three-way intersection, the pedestal was also a signpost. Inside Jizo-son, there was a bulletin of Seiganji, which is known for the legend of Nakano Choja, and he seemed to be involved in management.
