★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a relatively quiet area where a lot of tourist go to shop for souvenirs and taste authentic Japanese street food. Prices are at most affordable but some establishments don't offer areas to eat your food so you can eat your food standing up or look for the nearest beverage shop that will offer a seat only if you buy from them. We literally have to look for a bench at a nearby playground to eat our lunch. Nearby cemeteries can be visited of which the Yanaka cemetery is the largest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved the little shops, and retro laid back atmosphere of the the surrounding areas. Also, way less crowds compared to the main tourist neighborhoods. Definitely recommend spending an afternoon here to take a break from the bustle of the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute shopping street. It was smaller and had less stores than we assumed. Still a nice little area and not crowded. It did have cat decorations and a couple cat shops. Good food was found also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this is one of the famous small town that everyone who comes to Japan has already passed. This is an old town with many small food stalls on both sides of the road. There are also many cats and cat-related items here. It can be said that this small town always seems to be crowded, so please pay attention.

I found it’s small street market with lots of food drink and souvenirs shop. But i also felt this market is not too big. That’s make me lil disappointed.

Nice local shopping street !
I like Tokyo old town"Shitamachi".
Yanaka ginza is really popular among domestic traveler now.
I recommend Yanaka area.
In Yanaka area,I often see old Japanese style wooden house or temple town.
