★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small onsen with only one square onsen pit, extremely hot water (at least for me, compared with other onsen) and with mostly local frequent visits. Lots of wood is used to constructed this onsen and it has a very unique wood smell that makes the whole experience very soothing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ name translate is willow hot spring, the hot spring source is from a willow tree which transplant from China. small but unique, quite hot. famous for the deco of the outdoor free foot bath.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its easily the hottest onsen in town and I mean that literally. The high temperature is not for everyone. So beware what you getting yourself into. But once you get used to it, staying in for a few extra minutes seems to be a pleasure rather than a challenge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Three stars because it IS good and HOT - not lobster tank hot but if u r numb from the cold u will tingle! Unfortunately extremely SMALL. I went during state of emergency extension second week of Feb 2022 at about 8 pm and a mere 10 people is 5 people too many - maybe ok in the pool/wash area - but the changing area was chaotic with just 10 people. The water in this area is a bit salty, not acidic like Kusatsu.
