★ ★ ★ ★ ★ こちらの駅で炭水車への給水と先頭車への石炭の補充が行われます。
10分程度停車するので乗客の撮影タイムになってます。
At this station, water is supplied to the charcoal water wheel and the top car is refilled with coal.
Since it stops for about 10 minutes, it is time for passengers to shoot.

この付近はコンビニがないので、トイレなどで困ったらこちらに。
古いけどとてもきれいに掃除されているトイレですね。
おそらく前は島式の2面のホームだったと思われるのだけど今は駅からそのままホームに通路がついていて、1線になってますね。
宮古までは少し距離がありますが、この付近の蕎麦屋さんもそそるものがありますね。
駅前は道が細いので緊急時のトイレなどでも事故に気を付けて。
駅前の郵便局に懐かしいポストがあったりと風情はとても良いところですね。
車を止めてレトロに浸りつつひとのびするのにはいいのでは無いでしょうか…？
いかにも田舎の村の駅前って感じです。
もっとも磐越西線のここから新津方面に向かっていくとほとんどの駅がこんな感じだったりするのは内緒でっ♪
でもここは少し大きめかな…？

Probably it used to be an island-style two-sided platform, but now there is a passage from the station to the platform as it is, and it is on one line.
There is a little distance to Miyako, but there are some soba restaurants around here as well.
The road is narrow in front of the station, so be careful of accidents even in the bathroom in an emergency.
The post office in front of the station has a nostalgic post box, and the atmosphere is very nice.
Isn't it good to stop the car and immerse yourself in the retro style?
It really feels like a rural village station.
However, it is a secret that most stations look like this when heading toward Niitsu from here on the Ban-Etsusai Line.
But is it a little big here ...?

過去、SLばんえつ物語の停車時間に、そば弁当を販売していた時代もあった
上り(会津若松行)SLばんえつ物語は7分停車するので、撮影する時間がある
宮古そばの里まではかなり遠いが、山都そばの店は駅から少し離れたところにあり、徒歩でも行ける距離
