Best Train station in japan

P	Paul Cumming on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A typical rural JR railway station. Very basic in regards to facilities. From the platform though is an exceptional view of Yamadera itself, which is only a short walk from the station.

K	Kyu Hwan Yoo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came here during winter, so there was tons of snow and it was cold. Good thing that this station had a warm waiting area with a heater. There are also staff members on site and even a baggage storage.
N	Norris C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can be slippery on the platform when snowing! Keep your bags at the locker here, or there is also a restaurant right across that claims it can store your luggage free. I assume they want you to eat there. :)

The Yamadera temple is around 2 minutes walk from the station. Lockers - both medium and big sizes are available in the station. The trains timings are not very frequent, hence make sure to plan in advance on the train you want to catch.

There are a few coin lockers at the station - great for those who came here with luggage. There is also a warm waiting room on the platform for passengers to wait for their train in winter time. Thanks to the friendly attendant at the station to tell us about the waiting room. He also gave my boy some stickers.
