古墳と書いてある。最初は別の古墳かと思ったが、
近辺の古墳を説明した看板に、地元の人だろう薬師
山の文字の上にボールペンで「桜井古墳」の落書き
。これはややこしい、どちらかに統一して欲しい。
盛土のてっぺんに休憩所のような建物があるが、上
がってみると薬師如来の石仏が祀ってあった。線香
立てなども置いてあり、どうやら神聖な場所のよう
だ。ここからは木津川も眺められ、なかなかの眺望
スポットになっている。古墳のてっぺんに立てる機
会はあまりないので十分満足できた。お薦めです。
＊本日（12月15日）木津川沿いをグーグルマップで
見ていたら、この「桜井古墳」がYakusiyama Kofun
に変更されていた。グーグル対応が早い。
