★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 徳一大師による大同年間の開山。かつて東北一とまで謳われた大寺院。堂宇総数50の大伽藍と、162の末寺を有したとのこと。しかし残念なことに戊辰戦役で焼失し、さらに昭和後期にも焼失している。しかしながらこの藥王寺には、貴重な仏像石碑等が現存している(国指定重要文化財3点他)。いわき地方における仏教伝来のパイオニアともいうべき寺院であり、歴史的価値の高い名刹である。

Unfortunately it was destroyed by Shinshin battlefield and also burned down in late Showa. However, valuable statue of Buddha statue etc exists in this medicinal heron temple (3 important cultural properties designated by the country etc). It is a temple called a pioneer of Buddhism in Iwaki district, a famous temple with high historical value.

Kaisan is an ancient temple of the Shingon sect Chiyama school, which is said to be in 806. It has three nationally designated important cultural properties, including a wooden statue of the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva, which is said to have been donated by Yoshitaka Naito, the lord of the Iwakitaira domain, in 1703.
