 This May, every Saturday and Sunday, there is a walking tour from Sakyu Dam to Chukuma Tenryu Station on the Iida Line, which is planned by Hankyu Transportation Co., Ltd., to explore the fresh green Sakuma Dam. There are delicious foods in front of the Dendenkan!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ２０２０年６月現在。休館中でした。偶然、佐久間ダムで放流を見る事ができました。迫力満点でした。浜松市から行く際、道中狭い所が有るので注意しましょう。
As of June 2020. It was closed. By chance, I was able to see the release at Sakuma Dam. It was impressive. When going from Hamamatsu City, be careful as there are narrow areas along the way.

駐車場から建物までの坂道がかなり急で、落ち葉や苔で滑り易いのでご注意を。(特に雨の日)
車いすの方や足腰の悪い方は、電話連絡することで建物前の車いすマーク駐車スペースが使える場合があります。(3台まで)
It is a facility with abundant exhibition materials and exhibitions related to power generation at Sakuma Dam.
Please note that the slope from the parking lot to the building is quite steep and slippery due to fallen leaves and moss. (Especially on rainy days)
If you are in a wheelchair or have a bad leg, you may be able to use the wheelchair mark parking space in front of the building by contacting us by phone. (Up to 3)

特に佐久間発電所から佐久間第二発電所に水が流れてるという説明など興味深かった。
展望台からの佐久間ダムの眺めもみごと。

I was able to learn unique things such as Sakuma Dam, Sakuma Power Station, and frequency conversion.
I was particularly interested in the explanation that water was flowing from Sakuma Power Station to Sakuma No. 2 Power Station.
The view of the Sakuma Dam from the observation deck is also amazing.
Not only Sakuma Dam, but also dam cards for Akiba Dam and Mizukubo Dam are available here.

トイレは凄く綺麗です。ダムカードが１枚受付で頂けます。
Is the main process of dam construction being exhibited? The expectations were so high that I thought the scenery from the observatory would be more beautiful.
The toilet is very clean. You can get one dumb card at the reception.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佐久間ダムから東の法面を少々上がった所にあり、ダムから舗装路で繋がっているため、直前まで車乗り入れ可能。駐車場は20台程度駐車可能。
佐久間ダム建設当時に稼働していた、ケーブルクレーンのレール設置跡に建てられた見学用施設。故に室内の壁には、岩盤がむき出しで見られる箇所がある。建設の工事記録等、写真や動画でかなり詳しく知る事が出来る。屋外に展望台もあり、佐久間ダムを眼下に見下ろす事が可能。建設当時、クレーンのオペはこんな視野でコンクリ打設していたのかと想いを馳せるのも一興。施設内はとても綺麗に維持されており、トイレも天窓からの自然光を上手く取り入れており、清潔感に溢れている。
受付でダムカードが貰えるが、名前を記帳する必要がある。ただし個人情報なので厳格に求められる訳ではなく、フルネームで無くとも問題ない。ちなみに秋葉ダムカードは秋葉ダム近くのやすらぎの湯でも貰えるが、こちらでセットで貰った方が効率が良い。
It is located a little up the eastern slope from Sakuma Dam, and because it is connected by a paved road from the dam, it is possible to drive in until just before. About 20 cars can be parked in the parking lot.
A facility for observation that was built on the site of a cable crane rail that was in operation when the Sakuma Dam was constructed. Therefore, there is a part of the interior wall where the bedrock is exposed. You can get to know a lot of details such as construction records such as construction records with photos and videos. There is also an outdoor observatory, and you can look down on Sakuma Dam below. At the time of construction, it was fun to think that the crane's operation was concretely placed from this perspective. The inside of the facility is kept very clean, and the toilet is well equipped with natural light from the skylight, giving it a feeling of cleanliness.
You can get a dumb card at the reception, but you need to record your name. However, since it is personal information, it is not strictly required, and there is no problem even if it is not a full name. By the way, you can get the Akiba Dam Card at Yasuragi-no-Yu near the Akiba Dam, but it's more efficient if you get it as a set here.

アメリカから大型機械とそれを動かすためのスタッフを連れてきて、それまでの日本でのダム工事を一変させてしまった佐久間ダムの工事。機会があれば、もっと詳しく調べてみようと思いました。す
