★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing, and I wish we'd found it sooner. It's a lot of Okinawan-influenced food with an excellent drink menu (try the homemade ume-shu). The portions are small, but they are excellently cooked and taste so much better than what you'd get in a chain izakaya. Very reasonable prices. We drank a lot and ordered half a dozen dishes, and it came out to around 2000 yen per person. We'll definitely be coming back.

A great vibe that feels distinctly Japanese. The staff can speak English as well and they have English menus should you need them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good vibes n good times! Has an English menu and waitress could speak English quite well. Had a blast there the food was tasty, the drinks were full of flavours. The chicken karaage has that nice crunch and softness to it. The restaurant has you sit on a tatami mat and eat, only slightly annoying thing is smoking is allowed. Everything else was great. They even tried to cater to extra things that wasn't necessarily on the menu! It's an experience you can't pass up on. It's the Kyoto vibe you can't get easily. Small place and it fills up quite fast at night~
