Went to research on the best places to eat good beef in Osaka and this was one of the recommendations with an affordable price tag. Online reservation is highly recommended as it is easily available in English. Staff were helpful and can speak in English, Mandarin and Japanese. If you are visiting for the first time like us, I would recommend the "Special Course" menu as it comes with a variety of dishes. All the dishes were exceptional and the Matsusaka beef was extraordinary! The chef will come to explain about the beef, how to cook and eat it and he will leave you to it. This place is a gem and it's very value for money. As I came here on my honeymoon, they even gave us a cake with some words to celebrate our honeymoon. The entire experience was so cosy and memorable, we will certainly come back to Osaka just for this and will recommend to everybody.

We are fan of Yakiniku and this place one of the best so far in the world. We were taken to a private cubicle. There is a phone in the room and you need to use it to call waitress. It was for sure an expensive restaurant but it worths every yen. The meat, vegetables, mushrooms were so tasty, we kept ordering even after we were full:). The atmosphere ( I mean eating in a private room) gives you a unique experience feeling so I advise to try if you have not been yet. it was a very satisfying experience.

Apparently the best place to try Kobe beef. We were sat upstairs, in a cubicle. Cozy. Tight for space. We had a waitress that spoke really good English and gave us instructions on how things worked. The beef literally melts in your mouth. Definitely worth a try when in Osaka.

Definitely the highlight of our brief day in Osaka. If there is one steak restaurant to go to while in Osaka, go here! It is off the beaten path of the main streets of Osaka, and if you plan to come after 7pm, make sure you have a reservation! We were lucky to come around 5pm on a Monday, in which we were lucky that there wasn't anyone yet there. The waiter welcomed us inside and warned us that as long as we finished by 7pm, we were ok without reservations. The waiter was super friendly and well versed in English. We ordered the steak platter for two as we preferred more meat and didn't need the set-menu . We ordered some salad and rice on the side. Make sure you try the garlic rice as this was delicious! Steak was absolutely perfect. The waiter teaches you how to grill and even demonstrates on one piece. You then take the reigns to grill the meat and vegetables yourself. The different cuts have different levels of fattiness, texture and flavour. Such an amazing and delicious experience!

Insanely good food, with insane service. You get a private table with 2 hours time. We paid 12 000 Y for two people including 12 pieces of M beef, 6 pieces of wagyu beef, appetizers, desert and 2 sake drinks. Definitely recommend. We didn't have a reservation but the staff found us a table.

Make a reservation before you come here, this place gets really busy. The majority of staff were Chinese and a lot of their customers were also Chinese. But staff were nice and all spoke English. First time in three weeks I didn’t need to speak Japanese even a little :/ We ordered the premium set which came with nearly everything on the menu. Their garlic fried rice was the best I’ve ever had, so make sure you order that. The set is enough to make you really full, you won’t need to order any side dishes. Staff cook the garlic beef dish and bring the beef sushi to you prepared but other than that you’re left alone and you can cook the meats at your own pace. Restaurant is small but you’re seated in nice private booths, there’s a call button on the table if you want service. I’m 90% sure that nearly every customer in the restaurant was a foreign tourist but the food was really good so it doesn’t really matter that locals don’t visit. It’s different than a Kobe beef teppanyaki restaurant, different taste and experience. I would try both if you have a chance. There’s also a lot of nice looking local restaurants next to this one if you weren’t able to get a seat. The one directly to the left has a nice friendly owner which spoke to us while we were waiting. P.S. Yakiniku M accept major credit cards.

This place is so amazing! This was the first time I tried Matsusaka beef yakiniku, and boy, do they deliver. The meat is crazy soft and juicy, the marbling is perfect for bbq, everything is tender and delicious though will cost a quite hefty sum on your wallet. Highly recommend to try matsusaka beef, it’s surprisingly different!
