★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ここは江戸時代にあった下総佐倉牧の一つ小間子牧の野馬捕込跡で、現在は公園になっています。捕込を形作る野馬土手の高さは5m以上あるカ所もあり、とても迫力があります。捕込は毎年秋頃、放牧していた野馬(半野性馬)を捕獲するための最終かつ重要な施設で、小間子牧の存在を知る上でも貴重な史跡になります。
This is the site of the Noma capture of Omago Maki, one of the Shimosa Sakura Maki in the Edo period, and is now a park. The height of the Noma bank that forms the capture is 5 m or more in some places, which is very powerful. Capturing is the final and important facility for catching wild horses (semi-wild horses) that were grazing every autumn, and it is a valuable historic site for learning about the existence of Omago Maki.
