晴守のお守りは桐の箱に入っています。
お守りを持って花火大会に行き、土砂降りにもあったが開催2時間前に晴れて開催された!!

駅前からほど近いのに今まで全然気が付きませんでしたが、神社を実感するといろいろ見えてきますね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 完全に予報では この旅の三日間は 雨模様で、 どうしても撮影の関係で 晴れてほしく、 ダメ元ではありましたが 日本で唯一 ここだけの 晴れ神社ということで、 出発の前日、藁をもすがる思いで このお守りを授かり出発しました。 高円寺駅近くのさほど大きくはない氷川神社内に更にひっそりと気象神社が佇んでいます。 がしかし！ その効果の絶大さに驚いた次第です。

1944年(昭和19年)4月、大日本帝国陸軍の陸軍気象部(杉並区馬橋地区)の構内に造営されましたそうです。
軍にとって気象条件は戦略、作戦を講じるのに大事な要素であったため、科学的根拠に基づいた予報がされていましたが、予報的中を祈願するなど、気象観測員の心のよりどころとされていたそうです。
戦後の神道指令で撤去されるはずでしたが、調査漏れにより残存。その後、高円寺氷川神社に遷座されました。
遷宮55周年記念として2003年(平成15年)6月に、社殿老朽化に伴い再建されました。
The deity of the Meteorological Shrine is Yagokoro Omoikane no Mikoto.
It is said that it was built on the premises of the Army Meteorological Department (Mabashi district, Suginami-ku) of the Imperial Japanese Army in April 1944.
