★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This small curry shop, located on the third floor of a nondescript building near the Osaka/Umeda area, specializes in curry containing cilantro. The shop itself has a sort of retro feel, though it is relatively newly opened.
We visited this shop at around 3pm on a Sunday, and even at that time it was pretty full. It seems to be a popular shop.
The menu has a few different types of curry, including one made from squid ink (black curry). There are also a few toppings you can choose from.
We had the tonkatsu curry, which included a large, thick tonkatsu that was soft and delicious. The tonkatsu here was A+. The curry was not my favorite but a good solid curry. I found it more soupy than I would've liked, and ended up accidentally slashing some on myself and ruining a t-shirt (the curry won't come out).
The bar menu looked interesting too, with drinks like "cilantro mojito".
There were no highchairs nor a kids menu--I don't know that I'd even try to visit with a stroller since the shop is quite narrow (though there is a small elevator available).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good Japanese curry rice, it's a shame that they just sold out the Premium Pork Cutlets when we got the table. There is also a long queue if you come during weekends. We queued up for almost 1 hour, even when we got the seats, it takes another 20 minutes for them to prepare the food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe by Japanese standards it’s not deserving of five stars but it was definitely one of the best curries I’ve had in Japan. I’ve been to a couple that are rated higher than this place in tabelog but this is still my favorite. Crazy line despite being decent sized restaurant though if you don’t go early. Definitely get their deluxe menu and maybe skip out on the spicy level during the summer!
