★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 私の住む北海道にも松前城というとても小さなお城があるのですが、これ以上小さいお城は無いでしょうと思ってたらありました。私がお城好きなのを知って甥が連れて来てくれました。周りは公園になっていて規模も本当に小さくかわいい天守閣ですね。伊達家の重臣で後に伊達姓を名乗ることを許された亘理氏の居城ですね。天守は擬似天守らしく、中は資料館になっているそうです。

城巡りなどでせっかく来たのなら、歩いていける範囲に妙見宮、見龍寺、佐々木家住宅、追戸横穴墓郡、天平ロマン館、黄金山産金遺跡、光明院、くがね創庫などの見どころもあります。資料館で涌谷散策パンフレットがもらえます。

1・2階が資料展示室で3階が展望室になっています。
資料は多くありませんが、化石や旧石器時代の出土品から明治に至るまでの資料が展示されています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小高い丘にあります。沿道から見上げたお姿が一番映えると思うんですが、車の通りが多く立ち止まれず。雪化粧もまた良し。
