★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 近隣の方々のにおかれては夏場等は良く又散歩に適した所ですがほかの場所にも必要性が有るかと思います。役所の近くだけの整備にしか見えない‼️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 美里町の蜂谷森公園を中心とした丘陵一帯は、古くから「七館八沢」と呼ばれており、西から長館、小館、陣館、狼之介館、笹館、蜂谷森館の七館があり、これらをめぐって八つの空堀があったと伝えられる。
この公園の周辺には、館跡と思われる丘陵が散在し、その間は、かつては沼や湿地だったようで、比較的規模の小さい館が、それぞれに補完しながら、全体として巨大な防御拠点になっていたものと考えられる。
公園外の遺構は失われたようだが、公園内には、擂鉢状の土塁や空堀が良好な形で残っている。
築城時期や築城主は定かではないが、南北朝後期に、奥州探題として下向した大崎氏によるものと考えられる。この地は大崎領の東端に位置し、鳴瀬川対岸に進出した葛西氏や伊達氏らに対する最前線だったと考えられる。
古文書によれば、南北朝期の吉良、畠山両氏の抗争に際して、吉良方についた大崎氏が、鳴瀬川をへだてて蜂森に陣取り、畠山氏と遠矢の合戦を行ったとあり、この蜂森が蜂谷森館と思われる。
その後も戦国期後期にいたるまで、この地は大崎氏の支配下にあり、大崎氏の有力家臣が在城したものと思われ、城主としては蜂谷筑前守の名が見られる。

The remains outside the park seem to have been lost, but mortar-shaped earthworks and moats remain in the park in good shape.
It is not certain when the castle was built or when it was built, but it is thought to be due to Mr. Osaki, who turned down as a search for Oshu in the late North and South Korea. This area is located on the eastern edge of Osaki territory and is thought to have been the forefront of Kasai and Date who had entered the shores of the Naruse River.
According to the ancient documents, during the conflict between Kira and Hatakeyama in the North and South Korea, Mr. Osaki on Kirakata set out on the Naruse River to join Beemori and battle Hatakeyama and Toya. It seems to be Hachiya Morikan.
Until the latter part of the Warring States period, the area was under the control of Osaki, and it is thought that Osaki's influential vassal was present, and the castle's name is Hachiya Chikuzen Mamoru.
