★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 元亘理郡小堤村（現亘理町）に鎮座し、妙見社、愛宕神社の亘理家守護明神三社のひとつです。
伊達家先祖に勧請されましたが、その年月は不詳です。
天正19年亘理元宗移封の際、城東要害岬の景勝地に遷祀しました。
昭和7年3月火災で社殿が炎上しましたが、同年9月に再建しました。
祭神：応神天皇
例祭：旧8月15日
 It is enshrined in Kotsutsu-mura, Watari-gun (currently Watari-cho), and is one of the three Watari family guardian guardian shrines, Myoken Shrine and Atago Shrine.
It was proposed to Date family ancestors, but the date is unknown.
During the relocation of the Watari Genshu sect in 1919, he relocated to the scenic spot of Joto's Cape.
The shrine burned in a fire in March 1972, but was rebuilt in September of the same year.
