両月（わち）町にある地蔵堂で、パッと見ただけでは普通のコンクリ製の石室に入っている地蔵様ですが、よく見ると石室の柱と屋根は長石で側壁と前面梁が木製で出来ており特殊な構造のようです。耐久性を考えると木製より長石の組み合わせの方が良さそうですが、何かの考えがあったものと思います。石室の中には３体の地蔵様がおり、右に地蔵立像と地蔵座像・中央に地蔵立像がおられます。中央の像は享保18年に念仏講中により造立されたものとされ、立像の台座にその記録が刻まれています。資料によると左手に宝珠、右手に開花蓮華らしきものをもっておるとされ、全国的にも蓮華花をもつ地蔵は稀らしいので、行くことが出来れば見てみたい地蔵様ですが、地元の方の信仰場所でもあるので駐車場などもなく、町道の脇にあるので今回は近くにある大将軍神社前に停めて歩いて立ち寄りました両月町がなぜ（わち町）と呼ばれるのかは、この場所近くにある公民館の花壇に記事の切り抜きが張ってありましたので興味がある方は、そこまで歩いてみるのもいいかもしれません。
