この地蔵堂は、嘉永6年創建と言われています。岸落地蔵院として広く知られています。すぐ隣に五輪塔（風化著しい状態）があります。今から400年以上前の戦国時代末期、武将仙石権兵衛が讃岐の国府となり、聖通寺に城を築いたとき、新領主仙石に対して激しい抵抗が行われて、鎮圧された後、100人余りが処刑されました。その処刑された人々の供養をするために五輪塔が建てられました。
昔からこの地蔵堂に訪れる人は五輪塔に香花を供え、処刑された人たちの霊を供養し、その冥福を祈ったといいます。
なお、宇多津町の火葬場にあるものと同型と思われる六地蔵碑もあります。
犠牲者の無念は、それが反体制側に立つ非合法な反逆であったにもかかわらず村人たちの心に残り、義民としての根強い評価を得ています。
 "Utazu Town: Aomiyama Kishi Ochizoin"
This Jizo-do is said to have been built in the 6th year of Kaei. It is widely known as Kishiochi Jizoin. Right next to it is the Gorinto (a state of significant weathering). At the end of the Warring States period, more than 400 years ago, when the warlord Sengoku Gonbei became the national government of Sanuki and built a castle at Tsubohirayama Shotsu, there was fierce resistance to the new lord Sengoku, and after being suppressed, 100 people. The remainder was executed. A five-wheeled tower was built to memorialize the executed people.
It is said that people who visit this Jizo-do from ancient times offered fragrant flowers to the Gorinto, memorialized the spirits of the executed people, and prayed for their souls.
There is also a Rokujizo monument that seems to be the same type as the one in the crematorium in Utazu Town.
The victim's remorse remains in the hearts of the villagers, despite the fact that it was an illegal rebellion on the side of the dissident, and has earned a deep-rooted reputation as a righteous citizen.
