I happened to be looking at the sea while using a resort hotel near here and noticed this place, and immediately confirmed it on Google map d (^ _ ^ o) I'm sorry I didn't know at all even though I lived in Hiroshima prefecture for many years. It was introduced that Kannon Oki, who fulfills the challenges of overcoming anything, seems to be called Mont Saint Michel in Onomichi in recent years. So, I was surprised to find out how to cross it immediately, and that time was the low tide time, and I had no choice but to go! ️ I went wearing a swimsuit just in case, but fortunately the tide was almost low and there was only an ankle position even in the deepest place, so I was able to cross easily. I am very grateful that I met such a wonderful Kannon at such a coincidental timing, and made a firm request and returned. It was a truly moving experience.

However, the local fishermen's cooperatives maintain and cultivate the fish, so it is strictly forbidden for the general public to perform clamming and seafood collection without permission. Very convenient to have boots At the time of the spring tide, aim for the time of low tide and reach Kannon off Urasaki, a sandy beach that you can walk across will appear. If you are uncomfortable with getting your feet wet, we recommend that you visit with boots. About visiting Kannon When you visit Kannon-do, calm down and pray. Access to Onomichi's Mont Saint Michel [Important] If you search the access route to Onsen's Mont Saint Michel with a car navigation system or a smartphone map application from the city of Onomichi, use the prefectural road 389 heading east (Okayama direction) on the old Line 2 and passing through Matsunaga town to Tsuneishi. I think a route (about 20km from Onomichi Station) will be presented. I have visited many times to shoot, but I always use the route that shortcuts to Mukojima. From Onomichi Station, take Fukumoto Ferry to Mukojima and head east on Utako on Prefectural Road 377. From this Mukaijima / Utako port to Urasaki / Tozaki port (Tozaki) on the opposite bank, use the ferry of Utado Operating Co., Ltd. From Tozaki Port, take the prefectural road 365 along the Urasaki / Mitsugoe solar power station to the coastal road on the south side and proceed 1.3 km beyond Itsukushima Shrine to reach the Kannon / Onomichi offshore Mont Saint Michel. This route is 9.5km including ferry movement, so it is possible to cut the route to half the distance via Matsunaga mentioned above. If you enjoy cycling by bicycle, it is recommended because the traffic is small, the distance is half, and the scenery is outstanding. However! The ferry service from Utako to Tozaki Port runs from 6:30 in the early morning to around 7 pm, so if you have a purpose such as going to Mont Saint Michel to shoot the Asahi, please plan via Matsunaga.
