★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is closed to the JR station and Akashi-jō. Quite easy to find a car park in this area too. Nice to visit it if you would like to buy some local food and souvenir. And you can try the tamagoyaki which is a signature item among the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting fish market with some pretty delicious shops. Very old though and the condition of the shops are not that great. Pretty dirty in some places, but that's what makes it great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oposite Akashi station and next to a shopping centre with walikng distance. Selling fresh seafood as well as dried stuff. Manage to buy some dried seafood and taste some food there, taste good, worth to try. Some shop there are long que a lot of people. Not too crowded in the afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like going off the touristy places to find pretty gems like this! I found a beautiful castle out of nowhere and tried Akashiyaki balls,which were something like Takoyaki but but much yummier!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is nice place to visit. Very easy to go buy train.It is local fish market , it's not too crowded with tourists. You can try a lot of local specialty. We had the squid in teriyaki sauce and some tempura from local fish. It was very tasty and expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here checking out the fish market on Aug 26. The entire fish market sells similar stuff and have a good varieties of fresh seafood & gifts to choose from. Prices are decent but I do not see alot of tourist mostly locals. Maybe I went at the wrong time of the year? It was worth a visit but I will probably not return since there wasn't anything really special about it.
One of the store who offered me some samples of the seafood it was fresh and tasty so I couldn't help myself to buy a ¥1000 set. However when I sat down and prepared for a feast all I got was old and tough like they were made a few days ago. It was nothing like the sample I tried. I got bait and switch. I headed back to the store the older couple couldn't even look me in the eye. Anyhow it was not a lot of money and they were old so I let it slide.
