★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (宇治神社)は集落東側の小高い山下に廃寺(長安寺)と隣り合わせで鎮座しています。
相当に古い神社で貞観6年(864年)記録の三代実録の中に(因幡国従四位下 宇治の神を官社とする)とあります。
集落から鳥居を潜り、真っ直ぐな参道石段右側の手摺に掴まりながら、参詣しました。
森閑とした境内は神木で覆われ神聖な大気に包まれた拝殿前では、自然と首を下げて両手を合わせました。
お昼時間にこの場に腰を下ろし、上がってきた方向を振り返りました。
現在は国道を車が東西に行き交う様子が見えます。宇治神社名が記録された過去の貞観の頃には山陰道(古道)を東西に当時の人馬の往来が見えたはずです。
その往来の様子を同じ位置で過去の方も見たんだろうなぁと不思議な気持ちに陥りました。
(宇治神社)はそんな気持ちを味わわせてくれました。
拝殿向かって境内左側の小さな赤色鳥居を潜り、更に少し上がるともう一つ赤色で縁取られた小さな拝殿に至ります。ここにも祭神さまが鎮座されています。
 (Uji Shrine) is located next to an abandoned temple (Chang'an Temple) on a small mountain below the eastern side of the village.
It is a fairly old shrine, and it is mentioned in the third-generation memoirs recorded in the 6th year of Jōgan (864) (the god of Uji, the fourth rank of Inaba Province, is the official shrine).
I went down the torii gate from the village and worshiped while grasping the handrail on the right side of the straight approach stone steps.
In front of the hall of worship, where the quiet precincts were covered with sacred trees and surrounded by a sacred atmosphere, I naturally bowed my head and put my hands together.
At noon, I sat down here and looked back in the direction I was coming up.
Now you can see cars going east and west on the national highway. By the time of the past Sadakan, when the name of Uji Shrine was recorded, you should have seen the traffic of human horses at that time on the San-in Expressway (old road) from east to west.
I felt strange that I might have seen the traffic in the same position in the past.
(Uji Shrine) made me feel that way.
Go down the small red torii gate on the left side of the precincts toward the worship hall, and if you go up a little further, you will reach another small red worship hall with a red border. The deity is also enshrined here.
