★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tanpopo House is like an even cheaper version of Book Off, and just like there a treasure trove for second hand clothing! Most pieces vary between 100¥ and 800¥.
The quality seems to be a bit below average, but I'm no one to complain on a small stain on a 100¥ dress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tanpopo House: Highly recommended for a certain demographic. They sell EXTREMELY cheap clothing. I bought lots of shirts for around 3-500 yen each. I would say I wear something from here almost daily.
DO go here if you like cheap clothing and have a bit of a trashy style like me (hoodies, knitted sweaters, plaid shirts, weird retro looking random, anything-goes kind of style). If you are more of the adventurous type about what you wear, and follow your personal whims and taste rather than trends and fashion you will surely find something that made your visit worthwhile.
DO NOT go here if you are picky about brands, follow mainstream fashion trends and generally dress like the the most average fashion-conscious people. You will waste your time.
The main attraction here is the prices. I cannot overstate how cheap this store is. You'd be hard pressed to find anything above 1000 yen. They have weird T-shirts from random events, basic sweaters and jackets, random patterned and colorful women's clothes etc. The brands are unknown no-brand stuff or familiar Japanese cheap-ish brands like uniqlo.
There is a giant selection over three floors. Ground floor is for men, upper floor for women, and the basement is for even cheaper stuff IIRc. The men's floor is mostly "unisexable" in my opinion.
If you don't normally fit any Japanese sized clothes you are out of luck. Tall foreign guys will also find most clothes to be too short in arm length in particular.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good selection and price range. Basement floor has women's clothes 105-315 yen and the second floor has 315 yen and up clothes. This is where I found what I needed which happened to be work clothes. Sizes are of course small but as a small to average Western woman I was okay.
