★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021年8月にリニューアルオープンした川崎DICEのTSUTAYA。
おしゃれになって、活気は増えたと思う。
川崎にはほかにいくつも書店があるが、おしゃれで雑貨も扱うという方向性で競合他店との差別化を図っているようだ。
リニューアルオープン以前は、図書の扱いはほぼなく巨大なレンタルビデオ店といった佇まいであり、TSUTAYAを本屋として利用する分には便利になったと思う。
反面、ビデオやCDのレンタルのスペースは以前よりかなり減少したと思う。
サブスクリプションサービスの繁栄に伴いレンタルサービスの縮小自体は仕方のない時勢であると思うが、川崎駅のそばでDVDをレンタルするという選択肢が減少してしまったのはやや悲しくもある。
もっとも、川崎大師や三の辻など、川崎区には今でも郊外型の昔ながらのDVDレンタルを主眼としたレンタルDVD店舗があるので、そちらを利用すれば今でもDVDを借りること自体は可能である。

I think it's become more fashionable and more lively.
There are many other bookstores in Kawasaki, but it seems that they are trying to differentiate themselves from other competing stores by handling fashionable and miscellaneous goods.
Before the reopening, there was almost no handling of books and it looked like a huge rental video store, so I think it was convenient for using TSUTAYA as a bookstore.
On the other hand, I think the video and CD rental space is much smaller than before.
With the prosperity of subscription services, I think it is unavoidable to reduce rental services, but it is a little sad that the options for renting DVDs near Kawasaki Station have decreased.
However, there are still rental DVD stores in Kawasaki Ward, such as Kawasaki Daishi and Sannotsuji, that mainly focus on suburban old-fashioned DVD rentals, so if you use them, you can still rent DVDs. ..
