★ ★ ★ ★ ★ JR因美線各駅停車駅「津ノ井駅」は工業高校に通学の生徒が乗降します。
また津ノ井駅から郡家駅で乗降して高校に通学し、反対側鳥取駅でも乗降、別の生徒は鳥取駅で山陰本線下りの列車に乗り換えて湖山駅、青谷駅で乗降して通学に利用します。
「津ノ井駅」の日常はこんな様子ですから若者が集い利用の駅です。
自転車置き場には手入れの届いた通学用自転車が約50台、鍵がきちんと掛けられて整然と置いてあります。
駅の道路側の出入口付近には(青少年の健全な育成を願う)円柱の宣言板が建っています。
「津ノ井駅」は常駐職員さんがお仕事中です。そのお陰で駅構内はもちろん周辺の美化が保たれています。
隣には津ノ井二区公民館があり地区の方々の関心と見守りもあるのでしょうね。
20200324 午後4時過ぎホームに鳥取駅行きの列車が到着。降りた人は4名で乗り込む人はいませんでした。
ホーム見学に出ようとした際に「くれぐれも足元に注意をして下さい」と職員さんに気遣の言葉をかけて頂きました。お世話になりありがとうでした。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駅舎も味のあるものが使われており、上り列車から高校生が降りた。この区間「はくと」「いなば」はスピードを落とす事なく通過するので注意して下さい。

無人駅です。
ICOCAの利用は出来ませんでした。
券売機もありません。
待合室があり、隣には綺麗なトイレがあります。
ホームにも、待合室があります。
車内で整理券を取り、出口の駅で支払うシステムでした。
周辺は、幹線道路、少し歩けば大きなスーパーマーケットや、
食事が出来そうな所もある様です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 島式ホーム1面の交換可能の駅です。鳥取市街地に入るか入らないかくらいの場所です。駅付近は民家に商業地や高校などがあり、それなりに人の往来はあるようで窓口には職員の方がいらっしゃいました。特急は通過しますが全て西側の本線を通過します。
