★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 20200122 天気は穏やかですが、少し肌寒い正午を30分位過ぎた頃、路線バスが｢東浜駅」に停車、運転者お一人のみ。駅には誰もおりません。
山陰本線｢東浜駅」は鳥取県の東側最端の(東浜海水浴場)の玄関口で夏場は青い空と海で一際賑わいます。直ぐお隣は兵庫県居組海岸の玄関口(居組駅)へは目と鼻の先の距離です。
共に但馬、丹後へと海岸線は一つに繋がり、景観の美しい(山陰ジオパーク)を形成しています。
｢東浜駅」は鳥取県のジオパークを代表する最強の玄関口で、(トワイライトエクスプレス瑞風)が停車して搭乗の観光客を楽しい気持ちにさせてくれています。そのお手伝いと演出の舞台として｢東浜駅」は大いに存在感を発揮しています。
もちろん普段は地元の方の通勤通学等の大切な輸送手段として役割を果たしています。また駅正面の自転車置き場側に昔ながらの円柱トワイライト色の郵便ポストがポツンと可愛らしく集配人を待ち受けています。

陰 Higashihama Station on the San'in Main Line is the gateway to the easternmost end of Tottori Prefecture (Higashihama Beach), and in summer it is bustling with blue skies and the sea. Immediately next door is the distance to the entrance (Igumi Station) of Igumi Beach, Hyogo Prefecture, just beyond your eyes and nose.
The coastline is connected to both Tajima and Tango, forming a beautiful landscape (San-in Geopark).
"Higashihama Station" is the strongest gateway that represents Tottori Prefecture's Geopark, and the (Twilight Express Zuikaze) stops and makes tourists on board happy. “Higashihama Station” has a great presence as a stage for helping and directing.
Of course, it usually plays a role as an important means of transportation, such as commuting to local people. In addition, an old-fashioned cylindrical twilight-colored post box is waiting on the bicycle storage side in front of the station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 瑞風の停車駅になってから、見違えるくらいオシャレな駅になってます。まるで駅じゃないみたい。何かのモニュメント？みたいな感じで、瑞風停車中は、ここで催し物があるらしい。観てみたい！
Since it became a Mizukaze stop, it has become a fashionable station that can be mistaken for it. It's not like a station. Any monument? It seems that there is an event here while Mizukaze is stopped. I want to see it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小さな駅を出ると、目の前は青い海であった。段丘を下ると美しい東浜海岸が広がる。夏は海水浴場となり、若人が波乗り、キャンプなどを楽しんでいる。驚くべきことは、ちっこいカニが砂浜をゴキブリを超える速さで疾走する。なんじゃこりゃ。こげん、せわしかカニは見たことなかあ。岩場をたむろするフナムシより絶対速いべ。
カニを追っかけるのも楽しいが、この周辺の地質は多彩で、岩礁やがけの地層を観察するのも面白い。岩場をちょろちょろするフナムシも愛嬌があるね。だけど、お持ち帰りはだめよ。
東浜駅は無人駅といえど2017年に完成した、まだ新しい駅舎は芸術心たっぷりの造形。開業は1950年1月1日。日平均の乗車人数は58人（2018年）。JR西日本が2017年（平成29年）6月から運転を開始したTWILIGHT EXPRESS 瑞風の立ち寄り駅でもある。駅前には陸上バス待合所、歩いて2、3分のところに洒落たレストランがあるよ。

It's fun to chase crabs, but the geology around this area is diverse, and it's also interesting to observe the reefs and cliff formations. The Ligia exotica that roams the rocks is also charming. But don't take it home.
Even though Higashihama Station is an unmanned station, it was completed in 2017, and the new station building is still artistic. It opened on January 1, 1950. The average daily number of passengers is 58 (2018). It is also a stop-off station for TWILIGHT EXPRESS Mizukaze, which JR West started operation in June 2017. There is a land bus waiting area in front of the station, and a stylish restaurant just a few minutes' walk away.

2017年4月のバイクツーリングで立ち寄りました。2017年6月から運行を開始した、豪華寝台列車「TWILIGHT EXPRESS 瑞風」。小さな無人駅ながら、その立ち寄り観光地になっているのが、東浜駅です。駅の正面は国の天然記念物にも指定されている「浦富海岸」の真っ白な砂浜。瑞風の運行に先立って改装された駅の入口は、まるで青い海へと続く回廊のよう。鏡張りの天井が唯一無二の不思議な空間を生み出しています。
鳥取駅からおよそ30分、豊岡駅からおよそ1時間30分。本数は1〜2時間に1本。無人駅。

I stopped by for a bike touring in April 2017. The luxury sleeper train "TWILIGHT EXPRESS Mizukaze" started operation in June 2017.
