★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The treasure house of Musashi Mitake Jinja shrine is exhibiting centuries long preserved historic assets offered by worshippers including Tokugawa shogun.
One of the most sacred treasures is Akaito-odoshi oyoroi(赤糸威大鎧), which is the oldest complete armour representing an ideal samurai's highly principled personality.
It is so precious that not only designated as National Treasure but also many replicas are there around the nation such as the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno.
The house is open 09:30-16:00 only on the weekend.
