遠	遠山龍也 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019年10月、参拝しました。木々に囲まれた手入れの行き届いた境内で広い境内で、とても落ち着ける所でした。腰をおろす所もあり、上には藤棚になっていました。御朱印をお願いすると、住職不在の為いただく事がでしませんでしたけど、再訪したいお寺でした。二度目の参拝にて、午前中の忙しいなか御朱印をいただくことができました。御朱印を待つ間にお茶をいただきました。こちらのお寺の事や鎌倉の寺の事など、色々な話を聞く事ができました。ご丁寧な対応してくださいましてありがとうございました。 I visited in October 2019. た	たま“tamatyan”ちゃん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 開基は、吉野織部之助正清。江戸時代の初め、武蔵野で新田開拓をするには、井戸を掘り、水を確保することが条件でした。慶長１６年（１６１１）吉野氏の努力によりこの新町地区に新田を開拓することになりました。新しい集落に農民が移住すると、心のよりどころとしての寺や神社の新設が課題になります。吉野氏は新町地区の北側東端の五区画を寺地と定め、元和２年（１６１６）当山はその地に一峰院十三世、広翁伯和尚の徒、秋岩信和尚を請じて開かれました。場所が開発地の東寄りで、禅寺のところから東禅寺という名前が付いたとされています。後年、覚海禅師（建長二十八世）を開山として勧請していますが、その間の記録が現存していないため明らかにはなっていません。 Kaisan is Masakiyo Yoshino Oribe Nosuke.
