★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A unique culture when coming to Tokyo is going to see the tuna auction at the fish market. The new fish market is located quite far from the center. I had to get up at 2:30 am to catch a taxi to go on time. The new market looks bigger and more modern. but I still like the culture of the old fish market more, the trading scene at the old fish market has a closer culture. However, this is still a point that we should visit when traveling in Tokyo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tourists DO NOT GO! There is nothing to see. The auctions take place at 5:30-6:30am and then it’s all over. Absolutely nothing to do after noon, as all the souvenir vending stalls close too.
There is an “observation area” where you see the rooms where they do the auctioning, but they’re empty. Waste of time to trek all the way out there unless you’re going to buy overpriced sushi. I’m sure the sushi is good but we didn’t dare pay the 4000¥ + for a lunch set menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While this place is very new and modern and well designed the only highlight is if you attend early enough to see the actual live fish auction. I think the original market would have been better because you would have felt more involved and closer to the action where here it feels like you are in an observation area and not part of the action. This is still a good place to learn a lot about the market and history however I would suggest to just skip it and go to the old market instead although you won't be seen any live auctions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The market has lost the vibe and atmosphere as compared to the Tsujiki market. Its facilities are new but more catered to fish bidding and the whole seller market. They place is new and clean. The area is also being built up by the government and at this stage, there is nothing much to see around the area except construction sites. Need to give it many more years to let it become a place worthy of tourists to visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There was no much to see since they just opened to public a month ago...
Most of the shops are not ready and the restaurants have long long queue ..
And it is already starting to smell like fish everywhere inside the facility.....
The only thing worth to visit was the roof garden !
Maybe you guys should visit here later, now it’s not really a good time....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Understand why they had to move to these modern facilities, but, very disappointed! It has totally lost that "fu" of fish market where the restaurants and the markets were intertwined together and made it a fun place to go to. Now, this is basically a "food court" with separate "market court" inside concrete buildings ???. Customers were lined up in marrow hall ways with tiny restaurant spaces. Personally, I think it is worse than the open food court. This location was also inconvenient for visitors. I much rather go to the old Tsukiji market or just go to the many fantastic restaurants in Tokyo!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ visited the new "Tsukiji" market after they have been relocated. it's a lot cleaner now but further from the action too.. the new place definitely lost a bit of the flavour...
got a bit lucky because a few of the sushi places are just about to close, managed to grab a few pieces to satisfy my cravings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is kept clean, however it misses the entire point of the fish market of old: the action and feel. It feels as if one is separated from the actual fish market as it only allows people to observe from above. Even though the place is modern and kept clean, it does not have the same feeling as the busy, crowded, smell of old.
