★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Take the time to climb to the top of the shine. It was raining on this trip and it is not an easy climb on a good day so we missed the top. Over looking the lake from the top is amazing!

There's many informational articles on the trails around here and you can use Google Translate to read them if you don't know how to read Nihongo.
Definitely be careful of the wildlife! I saw a bear warning and proceeded up a trail with caution. The steps and railing were almost entirely torn apart, likely from the bear. When I got to the top, I started hearing the bear so I continued because I wanted to give some pats and maybe a hug ? but when I eventually encountered it, it looked kind of angry. The wiser part of me made the decision to turn around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A tranquil, cool shrine just 500m from the road. There are several places to stop and admire, including one up a steep flight of stairs. But there are also ample flat spaces and the entrance to the area is flat as well
