「深川鼠」とは、藍の薄染めの一種で薄い青緑の灰色がかった色のことだそうです。江戸時代後期に渋さを好んだ深川の芸子等に由来するようです。なお、もう少し濃い緑青色は浅葱色とのこと。
思わぬところから、この地の文化や歴史を知ることができました。

"Fukagawa Mouse" is a kind of light dyeing of indigo and is said to be a light blue-green grayish color. It seems to be derived from Fukagawa's geisha who liked the astringency in the late Edo period. The darker green-blue color is light green.
