★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tomioka hachimangu has a strong relationship with sumo. Passing through the red torii gate from Eitai-dori, you will see the statue of Ozeki wrestler on the right and the statue of Yokozuna wrestler in the back of the precincts. The very heavy main shrine is made of reinforced concrete, which was rebuilt after the war. In addition, there are statues of Ino Tadataka who made a map of Japan and a magnificent portable shrine.
