Gluten free? In Kyoto? Wanting deserts/pastries? Right on. Check it out. Also if you’re craving pancakes and are also gluten-free like my wife, then solve your woes by coming here for the best pancakes you could imagine.

Fantastic little powdery tea cookies, beautiful little space with nice warm minimal feel to it. The employees are lovely, as well. So luck to have found this place; I don’t have to miss out on Japan’s legendary baked goods, after all!

Excellent desserts and pastries. The entire store is gluten free. It's a pleasure to have a worry-free experience to have an entire store dedicated to gluten free food.

Absolutely delicious gluten free food! I had the plain pancakes and a cheesecake and both were fabulous. The pancakes were tall and fluffy and scrumptious and the cheesecake was delicate flavor wise with just the right amount of sweet. They even had tiny gluten free tea cookies to to along with my coffee! Loved it and hope to go back before I leave Kyoto

I have been in Japan for over a year and so far Kyoto has been the only place where I have found gluten free Japanese pancakes. Matcha is an area specialty, so obviously I had to try them in pancake form. These are extremely fluffy and not at all dense like the other restaurant in Kyoto that offers gluten free pancakes. If you are looking for true fluffy Japanese style pancakes, you must visit here. Everything in this bakery is gluten free. They use red bean paste (I believe it's called adzuki) as a sweetener for their goods.

Japanese traditional sweets! The shop is neat and pretty. You can get souvenirs or eat the sweets in the place. I loved butter Yokan.
