C	Core94 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the kind of soul ramen restaurants should have. Less than 10 seats, nothing fancy, heart of Japan style shop. You will actually see Japanese eat here. I was so appreciative to eat a delicious, piping hot bowl of VEGAN ramen in a quaint little working class shop run by a couple. Ramen was so good, served proper hot and the appropriate condiments available. Gotta have the white pepper. I prefer this place over KYOTO ENGINE easily.

Shop is what you expect of a ramen counter: no frills, bit smoky, reasonably priced. Food was excellent. I've had a lot of ramen but thought this was above average. Seems popular with the locals, so going at off hours probably means higher chance of getting a seat. Shop owner was gruff but friendly and gave us good service, and was happy to exchange a few pleasantries in Japanese. Recommended!

But slowly, I realized the soup have got peanut taste and that peanut butter makes the soup real tasty! ? I am missing it already!

Broth is on the creamier side and comes with yummy veggies! We came back twice while we were visiting in Kyoto. Super decently priced too. Owners are very nice! Definitely recommend

The vegetarian option is available in a medium and a large. The medium size is pictured here and was more than enough for me. I'm not truly sure if it's vegan because some of the advertising says vegan and some says vegetarian. Regardless, I enjoyed the ramen enough to come back a second time and would come back again in the future. This place accepts cash only.
