Although not seems to be recommended probably due to many better spot surrounding it such as matsushima, this museum in my opinion deserves a visit, especially if you like history stuffs.
H	Heidi Ng on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The museum is surrounded by sakura trees and a little lake. It is also next to a nature and historical trail so it's a good place for leisurely, educational, historical...you get the drift. Come here for coffee and ice cream while overlooking the scenery.

You can borrow the English audio guide for free and learn in detail about the history of Japan from the stone age to the modern era. Easy access from Sendai Station because the museum is just next to the Tagajo Station. The entrance fee is quite reasonable too. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
