塩竈市大日向から多賀城市内を通り、砂押川に注ぐ小さな流れが野田の玉川。歌枕ともなっているこの小川は、平成4年に市の「水・緑景観モデル事業」の一環として、往時を偲ばせる姿に整備されました。
と書いてあるが、とても往時を偲ばせる姿とは思えない。

三橋検校作曲の箏組歌が組曲になっていて、その曲順に合わせて玉川を列挙する習わしがあるらしい。
