★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸時代、八幡は仙台藩の重臣天童氏が屋敷を構え、その周囲には家臣や庶民の住まいが立ち並ぶ町場が形成されました。宝国寺は天童氏の菩提寺で、山号は末松山。本堂の奥、二本の老松が聳える丘の辺りが歌枕末の松山と言われています。
During the Edo period, Tendo, a chief retainer of the Sendai domain, set up a mansion in Yawata, and a town hall lined with vassals and ordinary people's residences was formed around it. Hokokuji is the family temple of Tendo, and the mountain number is Suematsuyama. At the back of the main hall, the area around the hill where two old pine trees rise is said to be Matsuyama at the end of Utamakura.
