お寺のは本能寺の変で亡くなった森蘭丸と同じお小性のお母様が子供のために建立されたそうです。
 There is a statue of the important cultural property, Ryorin Kannon. (Currently located at the Kyoto National Museum near Sanjusangendo)
The temple is said to have been erected for a child by the same small mother as Ranmaru Mori, who died in Honnoji.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 寺町綾小路交差点を南に行った東側にあるお寺が「透玄寺」になります。
朱色に塗られた壁が目引き、山門脇には「安産背競地蔵」の石碑があります。朱色に塗られた壁により「あかかべ寺」とも呼ばれています。
山門は、開かれていますが柵がされており入れません。山門から見た境内は綺麗に手入れされておりいい感じのお寺でした。
浄土宗。山号は法雲山。本尊は阿弥陀如来になります。江戸時代には上下寺町三十六地蔵巡り第31番札所だったという。
安産背競地蔵は、平安時代の恵心僧都（942-1017）の作といわれています。地蔵は境内の地蔵堂に安置されています。
The temple on the east side of the Teramachi Ayakoji intersection to the south is Togenji Temple.
The walls painted in vermilion are eye-catching, and there is a stone monument of "Easy Birth Competition Jizo" on the side of the mountain gate. It is also called "Akabeji" because of the walls painted in vermilion.
The gate is open, but there is a fence and you cannot enter. The precincts seen from the mountain gate were beautifully maintained and it was a nice temple.
Jodo sect. The mountain number is Hounzan. The principal image is Amida Nyorai. It is said that in the Edo period, it was the 31st bill place for the 36 Jizo tours of the upper and lower temple towns.
The easy delivery Jizo is said to have been made by the Keishin monk (942-1017) during the Heian period. Jizo is enshrined in the Jizo-do in the precincts.
