★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 菩提寺です。幼いころより慣れ親しんでいます。東北本線仙台に向かい広瀬橋過ぎたら左側に有ります。帰って来てなの感じのお寺様です。
It is a family temple. I am used to it more than my childhood. Head towards Tohoku Main Line Sendai and it will be on the left side after Hirose Bridge passes. It is the temple that I feel like coming home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 境内は、暖房があまりきいておらず冬は寒かったです。あと、階段が急なのでお年寄りには少しきついですかね。
建物はとてもきれいです。
In the precincts, the heating was not so much and the winter was cold. Also, the stairs are so steep that it is a bit tight for the elderly people.
The building is very beautiful.

数十万の人々が飢饉に遭って亡くなったと伝えられています。
第７代藩主重村公の夫人「観心院淳姫」が
１７７４年に宝暦の飢饉で亡くなった人々を供養するために
施餓鬼寺として開基したのが桃源院です。

毎年8月に行われている広瀬川の灯ろう流しは、元々桃源院で飢饉供養のために行われたのが始まり。
