★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The station staff have no English and can only point at a piece of paper in English. The ticket machines are archaic and difficult to use. Practically no instruction in English. Eventually one of the staff relented and let us through the ticket barriers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place seems to be named after a tea house that existed here in the middle ages because the water of the area was famous for its pristine quality. The Station directly connects to Kansai Kuuko via the Nankai lines. The express is more comfy but costs several dollars more. Worth it imo but it's a short ride, so you might like the local train better if you are on a budget.

You guys have a lot of homestay at this town and nearby to station.
all-in 5-10 minute walking distance.- Next> home and grocery at Qanat Mall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After using Nankai rapit (blue rapit train) from Kansai airport, we hop down at Tengachaya to continue our trip with Sakaisuji metro line to Sakaisuji Honmachi. It is very convenient train station. The metro/Subway/ Nankai staff are very friendly and helpful. They are able to speak english well if you are confuse to use the ticket machine.
If you want a reserved seat for Nankai rapit line, you have to buy the ticket from the staff. At the machine, they just sell the express airport ticket for 930 yen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to transit to Nankai airport at this station from Sakaisuji line. Just exit the Sakaisuji line and goto ticket counter, tell station personnel which train to Kansai airport. Then proceed to platform 3 and wait for your train.
