★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and totally worth the price. 680yen regular. Normally come with a miso soup. The tempura is yummy, n the soy source using is awesome! I normally put extra on the rice, cant stop putting it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made a very long time to decide where to eat and finally decided to stop in this restaurant, it seemed very traditional. The ordering is made from an automatic desk, the only thing is that the English version was not full so we chose Japanese and took almost 5 minutes to make a decision since we didn't understand a thing, hopefully someone helped us at the end.
The meal and service is very traditional as expected, fresh and good. I discovered real Japanese soba there and ate it all the time after that. The tendon are crispy, you won't be disappointed especially in you are on a budget.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Around the corner from Japans definitive National museum, the place had the empty franchise feel of a McDonald's in 1981. But the way the Japanese do food is so different to how we do it here in Australia. A franchise makes one thing and one thing only and there might be some dishes in a supporting role, but if tempura is the main thing Tendon Tenya makes, then tempura is what you're going to get. There was a young girl, sitting by herself, made me sad. My kids said I looked like a creep and my wife said I shouldn't say anything, but I couldn't help but approach her and give her a clip on Koala, all the way from down under. I hope she appreciated it. Sadness transgresses all languages, all genders and I guess all classes.. Food is as you'd expect and you can get a beer here, drink it in front of your kids!
