★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 主郭からは信濃川が眺められ、崖上のこの地は信濃川に削られたのか、崖の崩壊によって土塁が崩れている。 主郭には山菜採りらしいご婦人が土塁上などで採っておられたが、一段落したのか話しかけて来られた。 生まれも育ちもこの地だと言うご婦人は、何とか「琵琶懸城」を有名にしたいと熱く語っていた。 空堀も昔は深かったが、桐下駄職人が住んでいて、切粉を捨てたりしたので浅くなったとか、昔はもっと広かったのに中越沖地震等の崖崩れで削られた等のお話を伺った。
