★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 酬恩庵の方丈庭園は枯山水の庭園で、南・東・北の3庭あります。
南庭は広い白砂敷きで、サザンカの生け垣をバックに蘇鉄や皐月の植栽を主体にしています。東庭は幅3mほどの細長い庭で、十六羅漢の庭と伝えられているそうです。北庭は、枯滝石組の蓬莱庭園だそうです。
庭園は加賀藩主前田利常が慶安3年(1650)から5年かけて酬恩庵を復興した際に造り直したと言われているそうです。作者は松花堂昭乗、佐川田喜六、石川丈山の三氏の合作と伝えられているそうです。
Ikkyu-ji's Hojo Garden is a dry landscape garden with three gardens: south, east, and north.
The south garden is covered with large white sand and is mainly planted with cycads and Satsuki against the backdrop of Sasanqua hedges. The eastern garden is a long and narrow garden with a width of about 3m, and is said to be the garden of the 16 Arhats. The north garden is said to be the Horai Garden of the Dead Waterfall Stone Group.
It is said that the garden was rebuilt when Toshitsune Maeda, the lord of the Kaga domain, reconstructed Ikkyu-ji from 1650 to 5 years. The author is said to be a collaboration of Shokado Shojo, Sagawada Kiroku, and Ishikawa Jozan.
