E	Eiji Kondou on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昭和の小堀遠州と讃えられ、天才的な素早い配石の造園家、中根金作が手掛けた庭です。城南宮では「楽水苑」の「室町の庭」と「桃山の庭」が、昭和二十九～三十五年(1954～60年)の間に、造園家として氏が最初に手掛けた庭園で、その後「平安の庭」、「春の山」更に晩年の「城南離宮の庭」と、その生涯をかけて城南宮・神苑の作庭に携わりました。水を用いずに海を表した枯山水様式で、欧州の文化に出会い、武士が天下統一を目指した桃山時代の豪壮な気風を反映しています。広々とした芝生が大海原、点在する岩が沿岸の島々を表します。船の形に剪定された松を、欧州からはるばる黄金の国ジパングを目指してやって来た船と想像するのも面白いですね。４月の桜、５月のつつじ、青空澄み渡る新緑の季節のころが美しい。訪れた日は桜が散り始めのころで、風が吹くと桜吹雪が舞い、青い空と白い雲、緑の芝生に薄桃色の花びらが舞うと言う、絶妙なコントラストの風景に出会えました。（2017/04/13） It is a garden designed by Kinsaku Nakane, a genius and quick stone landscape architect, praised as Kobori Enshu in the Showa period. At Jonangu, "Muromachi Garden" and "Momoyama Garden" of "Rakusuien" were first worked by him as a landscaping artist between 1954 and 1965. After that, I was involved in the gardening of "Heian Garden", "Spring Mountain", and later "Jonan Rikyu Garden", and the garden of Jonan Rikyu Garden. The dry landscape style, which represents the sea without using water, reflects the magnificent spirit of the Momoyama period, when samurai sought to unify the world by encountering European culture. The spacious lawn represents the ocean and the scattered rocks represent the coastal islands. It's interesting to imagine the pine pruned in the shape of a ship as a ship that came all the way from Europe to Zipangu, the golden country. The cherry blossoms in April, the azaleas in May, and the fresh green season when the blue sky is clear are beautiful. The day I visited was when the cherry blossoms were beginning to fall, and when the wind blew, the snowstorm fluttered, and the blue sky, white clouds, and the green lawn fluttered with pale pink petals.
