井伊直政が築城したお城の名残りが、お堀や櫓を見て感じる事が出来ます。
復元した立派なお城もいいと思いますが、これはこれで有りかなと思いました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ いやはや、なかなかどうしてどうして良い城跡である。南北に、なかなか長くお濠がしっかりと残っている。Google mapでは水色になっていないので短いお濠かと思っていたが。その長いお濠に平行して土塁も残っており、土塁上は散策路としても整備されている。櫓と門も残っている、両方とも現存建築物ぽいが詳細は不明。特に門は説明板すらなくしっかりと整備して欲しいなーと思ふ。城跡説明板、城跡概念図も設置されており想定以上に良い城跡であった、嬉しいね。
No, why is it a good castle ruin? A moat remains firmly in the north and south for quite a long time. I thought it was a short moat because it wasn't light blue on Google map. The earthworks remain parallel to the long moat, and the earthworks are also maintained as walking paths. The turret and gate remain, both of which look like existing buildings, but details are unknown. In particular, I want the gate to be well maintained without even an explanation board. I'm glad that the castle ruins were better than expected because the castle ruins explanation board and the conceptual map of the castle ruins were also installed.

現在は、乾櫓、東門が残っているだけで、敷地は公園となってます。
入場料等は有りません、駐車場は有料（1時間160円）が有ります。
It is the former name Wada Castle built in the Edo period, which remains in the center of Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, where the city hall and music center are gathered.
Currently, the site is a park with only the dry turret and the east gate remaining.
There is no admission fee, and there is a charge (160 yen per hour) for the parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 高崎城跡はスズラン百貨店や市役所など大きなビルが立ち並ぶエリアにあります。お城は現存していませんが、歴史的にも貴重な櫓が保存されていたり、お堀の跡など見ることができます。お堀には桜が植えられ、その季節になれば城址一辺が桜色に染まり、街行く人々を魅了させるのです。
そんな高崎城跡へ車でアクセスした場合、市営駐車場を利用すると便利。
最初の1時間は160円、以降30分ごとに150円とのこと（2022.2月現在）
