八幡神社は海に面した10mほどの小丘に建っている。その丘はそのまま長全寺へと連なり竜王山へとつながっている。戦国時代に小早川家の陣屋があったという記録があるそうだが確かではない。農地・宅地として造成され陣屋跡を示す遺構などは存在しない。
境内地には砲弾（徹甲弾）が4発（径280ミリ×長1035ミリ、2発。径120ミリ×長350ミリ。径140ミリ×415ミリ、各1発）が置かれている。古老によると「平和時代にふさわしくないので戦後小学校から移設した」とのこと。残りの小型弾2発は詳細不明。
A shrine built in the eastern part of Takaneshima. Also known as: Okitsu Hachimangu. The deity is Hachiman Ogami.
Hachiman Shrine is built on a small hill about 10m facing the sea. The hill leads directly to Chozenji Temple and leads to Mt. Ryuo. There is a record that there was a Kobayakawa family camp during the Warring States period, but it is not certain. There are no remains that were created as agricultural land or residential land and show the remains of the Jinya.
There are 4 shells (armor-piercing shells) in the precincts (280 mm in diameter x 1035 mm in length, 2 shots. 120 mm in diameter x 350 mm in length. 140 mm in diameter x 415 mm, 1 shot each). According to the old man, "I moved from elementary school after the war because it is not suitable for the peaceful era." Details of the remaining two small bullets are unknown.
