御朱印を待っている時間にちょっと行ってみようと気軽な気持ちで行ったら…甘かったですね笑
行っても行ってもたどり着かず、30分以上は坂道や階段を登り続けたと思います。
ただ、景色は頑張る価値があると思えるものでした。
街を一望でき、晴れていれば大鳥居もハッキリ見える絶景です。
道中は足場がとても悪いので、体調と服装などの備えをして行かないと難しいと思います。

It would be sweet if I went with a light feeling to go a little while waiting for the red seal ... lol
I didn't get there even if I went there, and I think I kept climbing the slopes and stairs for more than 30 minutes.
However, the scenery seemed to be worth the effort.
You can overlook the city, and if it is sunny, you can clearly see the Otorii.
The scaffolding is very bad along the way, so I think it will be difficult if you do not prepare for your physical condition and clothes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 八畳岩のサインに従って山登りしていくとあります。上と下の岩窟の二箇所から見れます。上の方からは大鳥居まで綺麗な景色が見えました。
It is said that you will climb the mountain according to the sign of Hachimataiwa. It can be seen from two places, the upper and lower cave. From the top, I could see a beautiful view up to the Otorii.

本滝から上り道を歩いて25分くらいです。若い人はもう少し短い時間でたどり着けると思います。
報恩大師のご修行によって、最上尊が降臨された霊地です。岩上部の平面は畳が八畳敷ける広さがあるためこの名が付いたといわれ、備中高松城跡などを一望できる景勝の地です。

It takes about 25 minutes on foot from the main waterfall. I think young people can get there in a little shorter time.
It is a sacred place where the highest honor has descended due to the training of Hoon Daishi. It is said that the flat surface of the upper part of the rock is named after the area where eight tatami mats can be laid, and it is a scenic spot where you can overlook the remains of Bichu Takamatsu Castle.
