★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 館内はかなり広く、展示物も豊富。失礼かもしれないけど、この規模の町でこの内容は大したものです。一階は考古学的資料、二階は民俗学的資料が中心。駐車場は周りの公園と共同で、広さに問題ないが、資料館自体は奥まった所にあり、やや見つけ難かった。
The hall is quite large and there are plenty of exhibits. It may be rude, but this is a big deal in a town of this size. The first floor is centered on archaeological materials and the second floor is centered on folklore materials. There was no problem with the size of the parking lot in collaboration with the surrounding parks, but the museum itself was in a hidden area, making it a little hard to find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 歴史公園には「うきたむ風土記の丘考古資料館」とこちらの「高畠町郷土資料館」の2館の博物館があります。「うきたむ風土記の丘考古資料館」のほうでは置賜全域の先史考古資料に特化しており、石器や土器、土偶や勾玉といった祭祀遺物などが中心です。対するこちらの「高畠町郷土資料館」は、高畠町の先史考古資料のほか、安久津八幡宮や亀岡文殊などの歴史考古資料に優れています。加えて、民俗具の展示も数多く、鉄道ファンなどには嬉しい廃線となった高畠電鉄の展示もあります。一言で表すとオールマイティーな郷土博物館です。これほどの展示内容で入館料は大人100円、学生なんと50円。しかも高校生以下は無料。ジュース一本の値段で高畠町全体の知識が買えます。
There are two museums in the historical park, the "Ukitamu Fudoki no Oka Archaeological Museum" and the "Takahata Town Folk Museum". The "Ukitamu Fudoki no Oka Archaeological Museum" specializes in prehistoric archaeological materials from all over the area, and focuses on stone tools, earthenware, clay figurines, and ritual relics such as magatama. On the other hand, this "Takahata Town Folk Museum" is excellent in prehistoric archaeological materials of Takahata Town, as well as historical archaeological materials such as Akutsu Hachimangu and Kameoka Bunshu. In addition, there are many exhibitions of folk equipment, and there is also an exhibition of Takahata Electric Railway, which has been discontinued for railroad fans. In a word, it is an almighty local museum. With such exhibition contents, the admission fee is 100 yen for adults and 50 yen for students. Moreover, it is free for high school students and younger. You can buy knowledge of Takahata Town as a whole for the price of a bottle of juice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 内容的には、大満足。入館料が大人1人１００円は安すぎるかも。受付の女性の方二名は、さりげない気遣いができ、挨拶もきちんとしていて、感じがよく、好印象！
ただ難点が、2点ほど。1つは、入口がよくわからん。安久津神社の前まで車できたが、安久津神社の前のあいたスペースに停めて、歩いて行くべきか、車で資料館の前までいけるのか、わからんかった。結局、資料館の前迄、車で入っていくことができ、資料館の前の駐車場に停めることが、できた！
もう１つは、建物の入口が階段を上るようになっており、車イスの方は、どうするんだろう？
車イスの方は行かれる前に、確認した方がよろしいかと。・・車イス用のトイレが、あるのかチェックするの忘れた・・・でも、トイレをはじめ、館内は、清掃が行き届いていて、とてもキレイでした。

However, there are two drawbacks. One is that I don't know the entrance well. I was able to drive to the front of Akutsu Shrine, but I didn't know if I should park in the open space in front of Akutsu Shrine and walk or drive to the front of the museum. After all, I was able to drive in to the front of the museum and park in the parking lot in front of the museum!
The other is that the entrance to the building goes up the stairs, so what about wheelchairs?
If you are in a wheelchair, you should check before you go.・ ・ I forgot to check if there is a toilet for wheelchairs ... But the inside of the building, including the toilet, was clean and very clean.
