★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Takada Castle is one of the top 3 spots for yozakura(lit. night sakura) when you are here at Takada castle during the spring season, almost every turn you see Sakura. Suggest going on a day trip. Takada only have this spot which is the best during Sakura season. According to locals, there’s also a river with lots of lotus during summer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place to go for a leisurely walk. We watched the sunset, too and had a good time posing in different spots. We just weren’t sure if the castle already closed when we came or if it really isn’t open for public viewing inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a 19th century 3 stored castle in Meiji period. They use first and second floor as an observation deke. Ticket price is 300¥per person. You can also do fish feeding. Car parking is free there. Their is a public library opposite of the castle. Their you can use free wifi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool castle Park. Lots of information boards. Parks quite big though but the fountains are always running. The park is cool to see in all seasons.
