Taiso-ji Temple, is one favourite places in Shinjuku! It’s only moments away from Shinjuku station, with convenience stores just around the corner. I always offer Ennma some sake and clean up around his shrine. So, be cultural or spiritual, whatever?! If you are in that area, check it out and pass on best wishes to your loved ones.

R	Robban J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came for the cats but no cats were here ? I don’t know what happened to them or if March is off season for stray cats. Besides the cats this is a pretty small temple. May be worth a visit if you are really interested in temples and not in cats ?
D	Debi Slinger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed this place. Some peace and serenity after the lights and noise of the other streets. Apparently there are cats here but didn’t see any. I took some time to just soak up the temple, the large Buddha and do some reading on the Taiso-ji. The cemetery nearby is quite unique and worth walking quietly and respectfully through. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. No fee to enter.
