かつては『胎内くぐり』という数メートルの穴を這ってそこへ至っていましたが、現在は入洞禁止に。胎内くぐりは、もう一度生まれかわって立派な人間になろうというものです。
立石寺全体にもいえますが先人のストイックさに感銘を受けました。
